Starting at $39,998, Nissan offers the 2022 Frontier in five model varieties across Canada: S, SV, SV Convenience, SV Sport, and PRO-4X. While the other models offer great comfort and convenience, as well as workhorse capabilities, it is the PRO-4X that offers true off-road capability.The PRO-4X trim is offered with two cab configurations. The Frontier King Cab PRO-4X starts at $45,598, and the Frontier Crew Cab PRO-4X starts at $47,498.
Performance
The Frontier PRO-4X is designed for those who take off-roading seriously. Drivers can drive the PRO-4X off the lot and right to the toughest of trails with ease thanks to 9.8 inches of ground clearance. It was never so easy to go deep into the backcountry and tackle your greatest adventures.All models of the 2022 Nissan Frontier feature a 3.8-litre V6 engine that delivers 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. In addition, when properly equipped, the 2022 Nissan Frontier can tow up to 3,048 kg and haul up to 730 kg.
The PRO-4X offers more off-road readiness thanks to the addition of all-terrain tires, off-road performance shock absorbers, underbody skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential. The durable skid plates help to shield the engine, oil pan, transfer case, and fuel tank from rocks, stumps, and other debris that gets up close and personal with the truck.
Off-Roading Accessories
The included equipment are not the only pieces that make the Frontier PRO-4X the perfect off-roading truck. Off-Roading Safety Features
While the 2022 Nissan Frontier does offer the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of driver-assistance features, there are also specific technology and safety features on the PRO-4X that make off-roading safer and more enjoyable.This includes the off-road moving object detection system, which will slow down and/or stop the truck if it detects an object or vehicle too close to its front bumper. In addition, the 360-degree camera provides a surround view and up-close tire view that allows drivers to check and make sure that they will clear a rock or other obstacle when out on the trails. This helps negate the need to have a spotter, making individual off-roading easier.
