The Best Seller Gets Better - The Reimagined 2022 Nissan Rogue
The compact Rogue SUV is Nissan's best-selling vehicle, and it returns in 2022 after an extensive redesign in 2021 that elevated it above the competition. Competing against easily recognisable names such as the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, Nissan has held its own and now beats them handily with upgrades to every inch of the Rogue.

Overview
The 2022 Nissan Rogue offers versatility, practicality, and fun to drivers across Canada. While classified as a compact SUV, its surprisingly large interior offers plenty of space and features to families of five. Even before its significant 2021 redesign, the Rogue recognised for its capabilities, earning accolades such as Best Mid-Size Utility Vehicle in Canada for 2021 by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada, 2021 Compact SUV of the Year by Auto123, and 2020 Crossover of the Year by DoubleClutch.ca.What's New for 2022
For 2022, Nissan introduces a new powertrain for the Rogue, doing away with the previous 2.5-litre four-cylinder. In its place, Nissan adds a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that delivers 201 horsepower. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) was also upgraded to improve acceleration and fuel economy.Models and Pricing
The 2022 Nissan Rogue is available in six trim levels across Canada, all of which provide all-wheel drive (AWD) unless otherwise noted: S FWD, S, SV, SV Premium, SL, and Platinum. The S is the lowest trim level, priced at $28,998 and $31,298 respectively for FWD and AWD models, features many standard features, including 17-inch alloy wheels, a NissanConnect infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and intelligent emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
After the S model, all trim levels include AWD as standard. The best mix of value and features comes in the SV trim level, which starts at $35,598 and adds in a dual panoramic moonroof, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and ProPILOT Assist, which combines Nissan's intelligent cruise control and steering assist technologies for a hands-on driver assist system.
Performance
While the Rogue was completely redesigned for the 2021 model year, the powertrain remained the same, but Nissan changed that all with the 2022 model. Now, the Rogue is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque.Nissan also updated the CVT to provide a smoother drive and better acceleration. While the previous versions of the Rogue sometimes felt lackadaisical when climbing to highway speeds, the new turbo engine provides a perkier response.
