2023 Nissan Frontier

The 2023 Nissan Frontier is an attractive option for a midsize pickup truck. In 2022, Nissan redesigned the Frontier from the ground up for the new model year, and the 2023 model didn't see many changes. If you're looking for a midsize truck, the 2023 Frontier is a top contender.

What's New for 2023?

Last year, the Frontier moved into its third generation, so Nissan has only made small changes to it for 2023. The SV Crew Cab long bed now comes standard with the SV Convenience package, which was previously an upgrade option. It includes heated front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, under-rail bed lighting, and a spray-in bed liner.

You can now get the Midnight Edition package, but it's exclusive to the SV Crew Cab. Both the exterior and interior of the package are shaded in darkness. New to the Pro Premium package is Lava Red contrast stitching, and the standard on the Pro-X and Pro-4X now is Apple CarPlay.

Design Features

Black exterior mirrors, black exterior badging, a black headliner, daytime running lights, LED fog lights, a black lower bumper and grille, and beautiful 43.18cm black-painted alloy wheels are all part of Nissan's new Midnight Edition package for the SV Crew Cab, which will be available in 2023.

Performance & Off-road Capability

Every Nissan Frontier is driven by a 3.8-litre V6 engine capable of producing 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. There’s an automatic transmission with nine gears attached to the engine.

The maximum towing capacity of the Frontier is 3,048kg, and the maximum payload is 725kg when properly equipped. Most models come standard with rear-wheel drive but also offer a switchable all-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case for increased off-road capability.

Models and Pricing

Nissan offers a choice between a compact King Cab and a roomier Crew Cab. The rearmost row of seats in a King Cab are accessible via a rear half door. The Crew Cab's four standard doors serve as an introduction to the vehicle's larger interior and greater practicality. Nissan hasn’t yet communicated the exact prices for the 2023 Frontier, but we can expect a slight increase to the previous year. The available trims are S, SV, Midnight Edition, Pro-X, and Pro-4X.

Safety Features

The Frontier comes with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 system, which has a number of features to help the driver. Even though pedestrian detection is part of the standard automatic emergency braking system, you can get more safety features in an affordable option package, such as blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warnings.

Infotainment

A standard 20.32cm or an available 22.86cm touchscreen controls the new Frontier's infotainment system. Standard Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and multiple charging ports (including a USB-C port) are among the most sought-after connectivity features. Also, a nine-speaker Fender system is an available option for the audio setup.
