2023 Nissan Rogue
As expected, Nissan has continued the Midnight Edition into the 2023 model with black and badging accents and wheels, giving the Rogue a more aggressive look. A new twist is that the 2.5-litre four-cylinder 16-valve engine is now available only in the S trim.
Upper trims now come equipped with a much faster 1.5-litre three-cylinder 12-valve engine. Other significant features include a fashionable interior with a third row of jump seats and an excellent array of standard technology and safety features.
Trims and PricingThe 2023 Nissan Rogue, is available in five trim levels: the S ($30,548), SV ($36,598), Midnight Edition ($38,898), SL ($40,998) and the Platinum ($43,248). Only the S is available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Opting to purchase the S in AWD will cost you $1,850 more. All other trims are available in AWD only.
Engine and PerformanceAll 2023 upper four trims come standard with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder 12-valve engine. It may be smaller than the 2.5-litre four-cylinder 16-valve engine (available only in the S model in 2023), but it gives a bigger kick at 225 pound-feet of torque and 201 horsepower. This is a decent 20 horsepower and 44 more pound-feet of torque.
The 1.5-litre engine also performs better when it comes to fuel consumption. You can expect to get an estimated 8.4L/100km (city), 6.7L/100km (highway) and 7.6L/100km (combined). This is a significant improvement compared to the 2.5-litre engine, which consumes approximately 9L/100km (city), 7.1L/100km (highway) and 8.1L/100km (combined).
InteriorNissan continues to push the 2023 Nissan Rogue more into the luxury vehicle segment with the standard inclusion of pure leather quilt-stitched seating in the SL and Platinum models. All trims come equipped with tri-zone automatic climate control, driver’s seat lumbar support, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Larger families are catered to with the addition of third-row jump seats. You’ll have more than enough room for cargo as the Rogue offers 39 cubic feet of storage space.
TechnologyThe advanced technology and safety features are the highlights of the 2023 Rogue. Included are a modern two-level dashboard adorned with a NissanConnect 20.32 full-colour infotainment touchscreen, Apple and Android integration, a four-speaker sound system, hands-free text messaging assistant, Bluetooth and USB ports.
The SL and Platinum trims include a high-end 31.24cm gauge cluster that’s reconfigurable, a larger 22.86cm full-colour touchscreen, wireless phone charging and a 27.43 head-up display.
