The Nissan Qashqai is a compact crossover SUV that was introduced by the Japanese car manufacturer in 2006 under the name Nissan Dualis. The second generation of the vehicle was released in 2014 and rebranded as the Qashqai in international markets. The Qashqai is a great family-style SUV that easily moves from city highways to curving country backgrounds. There are four model versions of the 2020 Nissan Qashqai available in Calgary--the S, SV, SL, and SL Platinum.
Models, Features & Safety
The lowest version--the S model--starts at $21,498 and features 141 horsepower and 10.1/8.2 city/highway L/100km fuel mileage. The horsepower and fuel mileage stay fairly consistent through all Qashqai models. Even as the lowest-priced model, the S includes many standard safety and technology features to provide comfort and security while driving. This includes heated front seats to keep you warm on cold winter days and NissanConnect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to allow easy integration with all your smartphone applications. In addition, standard safety features include blind spot warning, rearview monitor, and Intelligence Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.
As you move up through the model versions, you get more enhanced features for your money. The SV (starting at $26,798) includes a power moonroof, remote start, and dual zone automatic temperature control to allow front and rear passengers to control their comfort. Front-wheel drive is standard on both the S and SV models with all-wheel drive (AWD) as an additional upgrade. The SL (starting at $31,848) upgrades to 19" aluminum alloy wheels and leather seats, as well as including more safety features, such as the Intelligence Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection and ProPILOT Assist. The SL Platinum (starting at $33,998) boasts a premium BOSE audio system, LED headlights, fog lights, and memory mirrors and driver seats. AWD is standard for both the SL and SL Platinum to improve driving and handling in adverse weather conditions.
