What's New for 2022?

When it comes to new features, one truck has received more new updates than the other. Here is a look at the new and exciting features that you can find on the 2022 Nissan Frontier and the 2022 Chevy Colorado.

2022 Nissan Frontier

The Frontier has not had any significant changes in several years. However, this year, Nissan is introducing the third generation Frontier. That means, other than the frame and engine, everything on this truck has received a fresh upgrade.

The exterior has a more refined and chiselled look. The newly redesigned grille and narrow LED headlights help to give the exterior a more modern appearance as well.

On the inside, the cabin features a clean and refreshed look. The seats have been upgraded to provide a more comfortable place to sit and helps to reduce fatigue on long road trips. The technology and connective equipment also get an upgrade as well.

Chevy Colorado

This year, the Colorado looks pretty much the exact same as it did last year. However, there is a new off-road package that can be added to some of the trim levels. This package adds skid plates to the bottom of the truck and a new set of wheels. A lifted suspension is also included with this package.

Interior Comfort

Both of these vehicles offer about the same amount of interior space. There are also several storage bins and compartments located throughout both of the trucks.

Nissan Frontier

This year, the Frontier has a more stylish and comfortable cabin. The driver and front row features Zero Gravity seats that contour the body perfectly and help to reduce fatigue and add comfort when you find yourself in the truck for long periods of time.

The Frontier also comes with an upgraded 7-inch digital instrument cluster. There is also a standard 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, but a 9-inch display is available. Both displays come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Chevy Colorado

The Colorado features stiff seats. The cabin is also adorned in plastic and cloth. When it comes to infotainment, the Colorado comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, but an 8-inch touchscreen is available. Like the Frontier, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard in both of these displays.

Power and Performance

The Nissan Frontier offers a more powerful engine than the Colorado offers. The Nissan comes standard with a 3.8-litre V6 engine that is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and can deliver up to 310 horsepower and 281 lb.-ft of torque.

The Colorado comes standard with a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that is only able to deliver 200 horsepower and 191 lb.-ft of torque.
