2022 Nissan Pathfinder is Coming to Calgary

2022 Nissan Pathfinder is Coming to Calgary

The Nissan Pathfinder has carved out a niche of its own in the competitive three-row SUV market. Bringing together a blend of comfort and rugged performance, it's a crossover that can replace a minivan for larger families while also taking off-road adventuring in its stride. The all-new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder will soon be available at our Calgary showroom, and here's what you can expect from Nissan's re-imagining of this most popular SUV.

New Model, New Looks

The old Pathfinder was a solid SUV that didn't take any design liberties, but the new model pushes the style level up a notch or two. Rugged but streamlined, the 2022 Pathfinder veers much more toward the bold looks of a true off-roader than the mall-friendly design of its predecessor, with plenty of upright lines and assertive, chunky surfaces.

Improved Powertrain

As before, the 2022 Pathfinder is based around a powerful 3.5L V6 gas engine making an impressive 284 horsepower and 259lb-ft of torque. However, Nissan has replaced the previous continuously variable transmission (CVT) with a sleek and silky nine-speed automatic option which provides a much more engrossing drive.

Front-wheel drive is standard, but upgrading to the advanced all-wheel drive system also adds seven drive modes which optimize traction for different conditions. Two modes which will appeal to off-road enthusiasts include Sand and Mud/Rut, with additional modes useful for rain, snow, and other low-grip conditions.

Updated Interior and Infotainment Technology

The 2022 Pathfinder update brings a new interior design that replaces the older stylings with a modern, rugged but comfortable layout that pushes advanced technology to the fore. An 8" infotainment touchscreen is featured on every end model, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto providing smartdevice integration.

Available upgrades include a 12.3" digital gauge cluster, a Wi-Fi hotspot facility, and navigation integrated directly into the dash. And at the top end, Nissan can even provide a 10.8" customisable head-up display to project essential driving information onto the windshield interior.

New Seating Options

Whereas the previous Pathfinder was strictly an eight-seater SUV, the 2022 model now gives the option of replacing the second row bench with dual captain's chairs, although this reduces the capacity to seven. But however many passengers you load into the Pathfinder, comfort is guaranteed with plenty of space for each, along with storage cubbies and cupholders scattered throughout the cabin.

Advanced Active Safety

For 2022, Nissan have equipped the Pathfinder with a extremely generous suite of active safety and driver assist systems. Standard features include automated front emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane departure warnings, and blind spot monitoring.

However, available upgrades include an impressive semi-autonomous driving mode which extends the capabilities of the adaptive cruise control system for an even safer, easier drive.
