If you're craving to know what the new 2022 Nissan Z is going to look like, take heart. Leaked photos give us a few clues about what to expect. In fact, we have some info on the Nissan Z powertrain, name, and even an idea about the price.
While unconfirmed, there are additional details about the vehicle, such as the Nissan Z will be similar to the looks of earlier generations and follow closely the trend of thriftiness.
The word is that the Nissan Z will cost about $42,997 Canadian dollars for the base trim with no upgrade or options. Of course, there are package options you can select, such as the Type S, Type T, and Type ST. The Type S has Brembo brakes and performance upgrades, making it appeal to those who want something more for its driving and performance ability.
The Type T package option will provide more luxurious upgrades, such as leather and heated/vented seats. The Type ST trim will combine the other two packages together for a stunning upgrade.
As already noted, the vehicle will be called the Nissan Z versus the '400Z' as some thought may happen. In Japan, it will be called the 'Fairlady Z.'
Pop the hood and check out the engine. It's a 3.0-L twin-turbo V6, which comes from the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400. This engine should be able to deliver an amazing 400 horsepower in the Z. It's paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, which is borrowed from Mercedes-Benz. Either one will be an excellent choice.
The 2022 Nissan Z will be a strong competitor for the new Toyota Supra, which is roughly going for $52,821. Since the Nissan Z has more power upgrades and the option for a manual transmission, it could oust the Japanese model and take the sports car crown.
